I am a licensed Neuromuscular Massage Therapist located in Matthews, NC. I specialize in Neuromuscular Reprogramming (NMR). NMR eliminates pain and weakness by finding the root cause of the problem utilizing muscle testing, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. These techniques increase the functionality of the body. It’s the most effective technique for pain, muscle weakness, and chronic discomfort.
I graduated from Pfeiffer College in 1990 with a degree in Sports Medicine / Management and Athletic Training. I joined the US Army in 1992 as a Military Police Officer and continued my career in civilian law enforcement as a police officer until 2008. My love for sports and keeping my body in the best shape brought me back to my degree and passion for healing people. I am a triathlete and half Ironman competitor and enjoy working with athletes. I specialize in deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and sports massage treatments, as well as correcting postural distortion. I am currently studying with the American Posture Institute (API) to become a Certified Posture Expert and Human Movement Specialist. I will also be a certified Personal Trainer in July 2020.
“I believe it is imperative to balance the body through proper movement. A great majority of our career’s are spent sedentary sitting at a desk all day. This leads to postural distortion and shortening of the muscles. With proper movement, exercise, and postural correction, our body can become balanced.”
